Tender description
Birmingham City Council (the Council) wishes to advise interested parties that it will shortly publish an OJEU Notice and carry out a competitive dialogue process, to identify a partner (Private Sector Partner) that will enter into a Joint Venture (JV) agreement with the Council's wholly-owned Company (WOC) Acivico Ltd. Acivico Ltd and the Private Sector Partner will become the owners of Acivico (Design Construction & Facilities Management) Ltd (Acivico DCFM) to continue to deliver these design construction and facilities management services to the Council and other organisations from 1.4.2019 for 10 years. In 2015/16 Acivico Ltd's accounts showed an annual turnover increased from 33 000 000 GBP to 38 300 000 GBP. The current arrangements for the delivery of services will cease on 31.3.2019. It is hoped this PIN will provide organisations who may be interested in submitting a bid, or consortium bid, the necessary time to allow them to plan and prepare the resources. The scope of services that is likely to be included under the competitive dialogue process for the appointment of a Private Sector Partner include: — Construction Related Professional / Technical Consultancy Services. — Construction West Midlands (CWM) Framework Suite. – Major projects and Capital works. – Building Fabric / Electrical and Mechanical, Emergency, Planned Repair and Improvement works (including Statutory and Legislative Testing / Maintenance and Lift Maintenance). — Building Cleaning Services. — Civic Catering. — Birmingham City Laboratories. It is envisaged that a formal OJEU Contract Notice will be issued in May 2017 with a market launch event being held in Birmingham to coincide with this. Please note, this advert is to alert the market of the Council's intention to go out to tender in the near future. It is not a formal request for applications to tender nor does it form part of any tender process.
