Construction work for university buildings

Tender description

As part of a Campus Development Plan, Dublin City University is progressing plans to construct two new facilities on Campus (Stokes Building Extension and Student Hub Re-development). This procurement process is for the construction of the Student Hub Building Re-development. The project has an indicative value of approx. 13 000 000 EUR. The works include the demolition of the West part of the Student Hub building including the demolition of an existing 2 storey redbrick building facing North on to The Mall (the main quadrangle on the DCU campus) and the single storey structures to the rear of it up to the South campus ring road, and the construction of circa 3 800 m2 of new build over 2-3 storeys on the cleared site. Is the intention of DCU to procure the demolition and associated works separately and provide a clear site for the selected contractor.
