An integrated community equipment and minor adaptations service was procured for the supply of simple and complex aids to daily living and deliver minor adaptations in line with prescriber specifications and legal requirements. The specification was for an Integrated Community Equipment and Minor Adaptations Service for citizens living in the Borough of Milton Keynes or registered with a Milton Keynes GP. The Community Equipment Service procures stocks, manages orders for, delivers, maintains, collects and refurbishes a range of simple, complex and bespoke aids to daily living. The equipment enables adults and children with physical and/or learning disabilities (and may include people with mental health issues) who require assistance to maintain their independence, health, social care, educational needs and well-being for the foreseeable future. It helps manage clinical risk and promotes independence enabling people to perform the essential activities of daily living, to maintain their health and autonomy, and to live as full a life as possible.
