Tender description

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) has responsibility for food, farming, environmental, fisheries, forestry and sustainability policy and the development of the rural sector in Northern Ireland. The Monitoring and Assessment team (MAT) within the Marine and Fisheries Division of DAERA has particular responsibility for protection of the marine environment. The Department of Agriculture Environment and Rural Affairs Marine and Fisheries Division, Monitoring and Assessment Team, DAERA — MAT requires a contractor to provide analysis of benthic infaunal samples. The contract is for an initial period of approximately 2 years and 2 months from date of award, envisaged to be end of January 2017 to 31.3.2019. DAERA currently have gathered 72 samples, the successful contractor will be required to carry out the analysis and provide DAERA with the data of these samples for approval before 31.3.2017.
