A Grounds Maintenance Framework

Tender description

Landscape maintenance contractors are invited to provide rates to undertake various maintenance operations as indicated on the attached ‘Provisional Grounds maintenance Services framework – scope of works’, within the Sefton metropolitan borough area. Applicants are to note the following: - A shortlist of ten contractors (maximum) will be successful for the framework agreement. - This framework is to act as a contingency operational element for the Parks and Greenspaces in-house grounds maintenance team commencing April 2017. - All the operations shown in the framework are proviosional. - When an operation is requested from the ‘scope of works’ list, the lowest rate for that particular operation will be the main factor in issuing an instruction to that particular contractor for that particular operation. However, the mobilisation period for the work will also be a factor – see below. - The mobilisation period for any one particular operation is a factor, and will be determined on instruction. The availability to mobilise within five working days is desirable. On any particular instruction/operation, if this time frame proves problematic, then the contractor will be requested to indicate their expected lead in time (which may vary for example due to their other commitments etc.). The Council reserve the right to award any particular instruction/operation, to the contractor who can mobilise the most expediently. - Contractors are to ensure that all relevant certifications are appropriate and up to date for the operations / machines / tasks being undertaken, and provide copies of those certificates to the Council along with your submission.
