Tender description
Customised X-ray Detector Readout System, Cooling and Mechanics A detector system comprising an array of 5x5 detector modules, each with an individual size of 20.35x20.45mm, made from 1mm thick CdTe bonded to an STFC custom design 80x80 pixel ASIC per module will be readout by the detector readout system proposed here. The readout system must collect the data from 100 analogue outputs, digitise to 14bit precision, combine the data from all of modules, conduct an offset corrections per pixel and save the data to a PC with a total frame rate of 10kHz with the ability to store list mode event data with 16bit values and present the data as a calibrated energy spectrum of the detected X-rays.
