NHS England is holding a market engagement day in advance of a potential procurement for a professional services contract to manage the implementation, delivery and in service evaluation of Digital Behaviour Change Interventions aimed at people at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes The Market Engagement event will take place on: Date: Friday 3.3.2017, Time: 11:15 to 14:30, Venue: Avonmouth House, 6 Avonmouth Street, Greater London, United Kingdom, SE1 6NX. NHS England wishes to enable a minimum of 5 000 individuals to receive a lifestyle change service delivered primarily via digital channels. The service provider will be responsible for working with the local health economies and the managing digital intervention providers to implement services. The service provider will also be responsible for designing and undertaking an in service evaluation to address the following key policy questions: i) Are Digital Behaviour Change Interventions (DBCIs) effective in supporting behaviour change? ii) What potential effect do these DBCI's have on health inequalities? iii) Can any conclusions be drawn about which groups would most benefit? iv) What lessons can be learnt about how the interventions have been implemented? v) What are the characteristics of digital interventions which appear to be the most effective/to have the most potential? The contract is anticipated to last for 30 months.
