Provision for Blood Glucose and Ketone Meter Services

Tender description

The service provision for unification of Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust meters used for measurement of blood glucose and ketone testing. The system will be for use by staff working in in-patient units and community teams throughout the Trust. The service covers all glucose, glucose/ketone meters with associated consumables full external and internal quality assurance package to including: quality control materials with software for result analysis, technical assistance in setting up and maintaining the system and full training programme for all the Trust staff undertaking blood glucose and/or ketone testing. The aim of treatment in both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes treatment is to keep blood glucose levels as near to normal as possible, while minimising episodes of hypoglycaemia and hyperglycaemia.
