Tender description

Lancashire Teaching Hospital invites expressions of interest in relation to the provision and implementation of a fully automated software package to manage Portering Services across Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. The Trust manages two separate hospital sites approximately 14 miles apart. The system must be client based which will enable requests to be logged at ward/department level, then be sent to the nearest available porter via a wireless handheld device. The system must allow the Trust to effectively match the demands of wards and departments to the available porters on duty, increase response rates and improve patient flow. The system should allow portering services to see the status of all portering tasks. Wards and departments should be able to track their requests. The system should produce management reports, which are user friendly and able to be imported to other packages such as word or excel. The System must be GS1 compliant to interface with wider NHS efficiency developmemts. Keywords: Portering, Software, GS1
