Maintenance of information technology software

Tender description

The contract is to provide support and maintenance for: General Ledger and Journals; Accounts Payable; Purchasing Order Processing; Bank reconciliation; Budget Monitoring and Forecasting; Document Scanning and Data Capture; Host support for Business Analytics and hardware platform and software. Soft market testing has been conducted using the Crown Commercial Corporate Software Solutions framework. A high level specification was provided and all 14 suppliers were asked to take part. In order to encourage participation suppliers were invited to indicate if their solution met the high level specification. 5 suppliers confirmed they had no interest, 2 attended a clarification meeting in which their interest was in an Enterprise Resource Planning which exceed the scope of the council's requirements and 1 confirmed that due to their strategic relationship they would not be responding. Advanced Business Solutions Ltd (‘ABS’) expressed an interest. As the current solution meets the functional requirements of the council and is delivering highly efficient and fit for process a contract is to be created with ABS Ltd. The current Finance system is deemed to be fit for purpose and is delivering highly efficient business processes to support the operational needs of its user.
