Tender description

The Leicestershire Academies Insurance Scheme (LAIS) was established in 2011 following the first conversions to academy status of 3 Leicestershire maintained local authority schools in August 2011. Of the 114 members, 81 are Primary Schools, 30 are Secondary Schools and 3 provide Special Education. The Leicestershire Academies Insurance Scheme (LAIS) was established in 2011 following the first conversions to academy status of 3 Leicestershire maintained local authority schools in August 2011. The scheme to date has 114 members consisting of Primary, Secondary and Special Schools within the Leicestershire border. Of the 114 members, 81 are Primary Schools, 30 are Secondary Schools and 3 provide Special Education. There are currently 11 Multi Academy Trusts within LAIS consisting of a mixture of Primary, Secondary or in some cases both types of schools.
