Tender description

Hull City Council tendered this contract seeking suitable organisation(s) to take advantage of a business opportunity which delivered a catering offer in 3 PFI Extra Care Housing facilities in Hull. The contract commenced in December 2016, when access to the first site was available, with the first residents moving in from January 2017; The 2 remaining sites will take in residents in April and July 2017. Hull City Council tendered this contract seeking suitable organisation(s) to take advantage of a business opportunity which delivered a catering offer in 3 PFI Extra Care Housing facilities in Hull. The contract commenced in December 2016, when access to the first site was available, with the first residents moving in from January 2017; the 2 remaining sites will take in residents in April and July 2017. The procurement process used was a CPN. In total, the Extra Care facilities will provide 316 1 and 2-bed apartments with residents, staff and carers onsite. All 3 schemes benefit from fully fitted out and maintained catering kitchens and restaurants (including a defined cafe area). In addition to delivering a catering offer for the Extra Care facilities, the provider will deliver significant social value benefits for the city.
