Tender description
Who Speclialist Work With The Specialist company shall use its own initiative as to the manner in which services are to be delivered; for the avoidance of doubt, the Specialist Company shall not be supervised, directed or controlled regarding how the services are delivered. The Specialist Company shall use its own equipment where security requirements permit. The Specialist Company is expected to provide the services on such hours/days as required to meet any deadlines, as agreed between the Specialist Company and the Authority. The Specialist Company shall provide the necessary resources to support the Services which shall include one or more specialists. What Specialists Work On 1. Architect design solutions, formulate estimates and provide development expertise for new, and enhancements to existing, Oracle services and applications, based on the prioritised business requirements. 2. Produce and review relevant technical design documentation to support Oracle applications and services, based upon business requirements. 3. Provide ad hoc support to troubleshoot problems with Oracle applications in the live environment. 4. Write and develop policies and standards, and technically assure that all Oracle applications and services are aligned to the aforementioned policies and standards. 5. Provide technical oversight for all Oracle applications and services. Where the Work Takes Place The place of delivery of the contract shall be at such location as agreed between the Specialist Company and the Authority. Security Clearance Security Cleared (SC) All specialists should have the necessary security clearance to be able to access MOD premises and information up to SECRET – UK EYES ONLY; this is the DBS NSV SC level of vetting. Incumbents are to follow both the letter and spirit of Army Headquarters security regulations. A minimum of 5 years’ recent experience of leading a team of Oracle developers to deliver business capability to a large organisation. 2. A minimum of 5 years’ recent experience of building secure, scalable enterprise level Oracle Application Express (APEX) 4 or 5 applications. 3. A minimum of 5 years’ recent experience in designing and developing reusable and modular Oracle-based business data component APIs that have been used across the enterprise. 4. A minimum of 5 years’ recent experience using SQL and PL/SQL with Oracle Database 10g, 11g or 12c 5. A minimum of 5 years’ recent experience using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX and JQuery 6. A minimum of 5 years’ recent experience securing APEX Applications using the built in security functions. 7. A minimum of 5 years’ recent experience of developing against Oracle WebLogic server and Oracle Fusion Middleware components (OID, OAM, OVD). 8. A minimum of 3 years’ recent experience in developing RESTful web services and securing those services via OAuth2. 9. A minimum of 2 years’ experience using ApexSec Security Console to diagnose security issues within APEX Applications and provide the necessary fixes. 10. A minimum of 2 years’ experience developing and maintaining Oracle APEX applications hosted within the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. 11. A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience using Oracle BI Publisher 11g 12. A minimum of 2 years’ experience using Oracle MapViewer and Oracle Maps to consume Web Map Services (WMS) from a suitably enabled Geo Server. 13. A minimum of 2 years’ experience using Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.x or Red Hat Linux 6.x 14. A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience of working with collaborative Agile/ DevOps teams. 15. A minimium of 2 years’ recent experience of CI, supported by JetBrains TeamCity 9.x. 16. A minimium of 2 years’ recent experience of Microsoft Team Foundation Server for User Story management and GIT repositories for source control. Nice to Haves 1. Oracle Certification 2. Working within a Data Warehousing project 3. Oracle WebLogic Server Administration 4. VMWare vRealize Suite 5. Oracle Discoverer 6. Requirements Capture 7.
