Tender description

Bord na Mona require the chipping of c.80 000 weighed tonnes of logs over a 12 month period, priced in euro/tonne. The chipping process of the logs to the BnM specification involves chipping directly into walking floor trailers for immediate haulage of the wood-chip produced to Edenderry Power Station, Ballykilleen, Edenderry, Co. Offaly. The logs are stored at 8 location within 20 km to 80 km from the power plant. The logs to be chipped will in general average c.30 % moisture content but may range from 25 % to 35 % moisture. Bord na Móna will employ external haulage for this material, separate tender running.
