Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) are inviting bids from organisations who might be able to provide Services that meet RMBC’s current needs for a partner to continue the operation of a successful pedal and electrically assisted cycle hire, Dr Bike, cycle training and cycle promotion project from 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2020. The project is currently run via a purpose built mobile HUB vehicle which takes public cycle hire, cycle training and Dr Bike services across the whole of the Borough to various places including: • Public sessions in areas such as town and local centres. • Private sessions at local employers’ premises. • Local galas and fetes. • Neighbouring Boroughs. We need to appoint a partner who is able to provide the following services: • Managing the day to day running of the HUB. • Managing the day to day running of the cycle hire service including delivery, maintenance and collection of bicycles and basic rider training services when a bike is handed over to a participant. • Providing Dr Bike repair services at the HUB and other locations where required. • Providing cycle training sessions • Working with partners to promote active travel.
