The market engagement for the supply of care provision in a new 80 bed care home with nursing care including for residents with dementia and behaviour which may be challenging. The proposal is for the Council to fund and build the Care Home on Council-owned land in Poole, Dorset. The purpose of this early market engagement exercise is to: — Inform the care market of the Council’s plans, — Gauge the level of interest in the external marketplace for organisations willing to provide care and operate the proposed 80 bed care home with nursing and dementia care, — Inform preparation of a full business case for the development of a Council site to build a new 80 bed care home, — To gain an insight from the care market on the impact of the design on providing quality affordable care, — Inform any subsequent procurement exercise including the development and refinement of the service specification and associated terms and conditions of the lease.
