Tender description
Walsall Council is looking to commission the provision of Alternative Education to young people up to age 16 and a small number post 16 under a framework contract. The service delivers a range of alternative approaches to providing access to education for young people who are excluded or at risk of exclusion, at risk of disengaging from mainstream school provision or otherwise require alternative education provision to meet their educational entitlement. The Council intends to award contracts in 7.2017 to enable the service(s) to be mobilised in time for implementation from 1.9.2017. The contract will be for an initial 23-month period ending 31.7.2019 with the option to extend for a further 2 x 12 month periods.
