Tender description

TfL requires a supplier to design 2 safety courses for bus operator staff; one for Driving Instructors and one for bus drivers. Delivery of the instructor course will be by the supplier, the driver course will be delivered by bus operator trainers and the Supplier is required to deliver the “Train the Trainer” to ensure a consistent high standard of delivery. Requirement 1: Bus driving instructors (circa 200 delegates). Our expectation is that this course will be a maximum of 1 day and will familiarise the delegates with vulnerable road users and safer urban driving and provide a shared understanding of best practise and knowledge. Requirement 2: Bus operator Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) trainers (circa 70). The training will provide bus drivers with a thorough understanding of vulnerable road users specific to London buses and equip delegates with the tools and techniques required to identify and mitigate risks, thereby contributing to accident reduction.
