Tender description

The aim of the service is to provide an effective and efficient tier 3 MDT weight management service for people who are seriously overweight, with or without co-morbidities, to promote and sustain life-long behaviour change and attitudes towards food and physical activity and provide care and support with their psychological problems. The service will provide a minimum of 60 places per year to patients who meet the eligibility criteria. The service will be based in the community and will need to work in partnership (wherever possible) with providers of complimentary services such as Health Lifestyle Services, to maximise success of the outcomes. NHS North Lincolnshire CCG plan to procure a Tier 3 Weight Management to commence from 1.7.2018. The contract will be let for three years with the option to extend up to 2 years (3 + 1 + 1). It is currently envisioned an open procurement process will be pursued in 1.2018.
