Tender description

During the mid-life refurbishment of the 96TS, it has been discovered that fire bags used on the 96TS require replacing during the refurbishment work. Fire bags are used on the 96TS as a form of passive fire protection. The purpose of the fire bag is to prevent or slow the spreading of fire, smoke and toxic fumes for a given time period. Trains on the Jubilee Line use fire bags in the underfloor voids as part of the requirements for fire stopping and compartmentalisation to prevent the spread of fire.
