Tender description

National Grid is entering into contractual arrangements with Crown Hosting Data Centres Limited (CHDC), a joint venture between the Minister for the Cabinet Office and Ark Data Centres Ltd (Ark). This adopts the form of a call-off agreement and service request under a framework agreement (Crown Hosting Framework) entered into between the cabinet office and CHDC on 16.3.2015. National Grid shall also enter into a lease with Ark and Ark Estates Spring Park Limited to take effect from the end of the 5 years term of the service request. The arrangements relate to the hosting of a data centre facility. Specifically, National Grid will be granted an interest in 2 data centre halls at a facility owned by Ark, to be made available for the sole use of National Grid for a period of 25 years. The hardware and software owned by National Grid, to be housed in the data centre halls, must be accompanied by special security measures and /or engages essential interests of security.
