Tender description

This tender is for appointment to a framework for engineering services for new build development work nationally. The core requirement of the Framework will be to provide structural engineering services. In addition, to the main service of structural engineering, there may also be a requirement for civil, infrastructure and building services engineering. Practices without the in-house capability for these additional services may utilise a sub-consultant to deliver these elements. Lot 1 will be for projects in the Scotland region where there is a requirement for structural engineering services. In addition, to the main service of structural engineering, there may also be a requirement for civil, infrastructure and building services engineering. Practices without the in-house capability for these additional services may utilise a sub-consultant to deliver these elements. For the purposes of this tender Home Group considers the following Local Authority areas to fall into the Scotland region: Glasgow; East Renfrewshire and Renfrewshire; East and West Dunbartonshire; North and South Lanarkshire; City of Edinburgh; East, Mid and West Lothian; and Dundee. These Local Authority areas reflect Home’s current development strategy, should development opportunities arise outside of these areas, Home Group will procure services from the most appropriate regional lot. Lot 2 will be for projects in the Cumbria region where there is a requirement for structural engineering services. In addition, to the main service of structural engineering, there may also be a requirement for civil, infrastructure and building services engineering. Practices without the in-house capability for these additional services may utilise a sub-consultant to deliver these elements. For the purposes of this tender Home Group considers the following Local Authority areas to fall into the Cumbria region: Allerdale; Barrow; Carlisle; Copeland; Eden; and South Lakeland. These Local Authority areas reflect Home’s current development strategy, should development opportunities arise outside of these areas, Home Group will procure services from the most appropriate regional lot. Lot 3 will be for projects in the North-East and Yorkshire regions where there is a requirement for structural engineering services. In addition, to the main service of structural engineering, there may also be a requirement for civil, infrastructure and building services engineering. Practices without the in-house capability for these additional services may utilise a sub-consultant to deliver these elements. For the purposes of this tender Home Group considers the following Local Authority areas to fall into the North-East & Yorkshire region: Northumberland; North Tyneside; Newcastle; Gateshead; South Tyneside; Sunderland; Durham; Hartlepool; Middlesbrough; Stockton; and Redcar and Cleveland, East Riding; York; North Yorkshire; Leeds; Bradford; Calderdale; Kirklees; Wakefield. Lot 4 will be for projects in London where there is a requirement for structural engineering services. In addition, to the main service of structural engineering, there may also be a requirement for civil, infrastructure and building services engineering. Practices without the in-house capability for these additional services may utilise a sub-consultant to deliver these elements. For the purpose of this tender, the London Lot includes the Greater London Authority boroughs. These Local Authority areas reflect Home’s current development strategy, should development opportunities arise outside of these areas, Home Group will procure services from the most appropriate regional lot. Lot 5 will be for projects in the South East region where there is a requirement for structural engineering services. In addition, to the main service of structural engineering, there may also be a requirement for civil, infrastructure and building services engineering. Practices without the in-house capability for these additional services may utilise a sub-consultant to deliver these elements. For the purposes of this tender Home Group considers the following Local Authority areas to fall into the South East region: Essex; Hertfordshire; Bedfordshire; Cambridgeshire; Huntingdon and Peterborough; and Northamptonshire. These Local Authority areas reflect Home’s current development strategy, should development opportunities arise outside of these areas, Home Group will procure services from the most appropriate regional lot. Lot 6 will be for projects in the South West region where there is a requirement for structural engineering services. In addition, to the main service of structural engineering, there may also be a requirement for civil, infrastructure and building services engineering. Practices without the in-house capability for these additional services may utilise a sub-consultant to deliver these elements. For the purposes of this tender homegroup considers the following Local Authority areas to fall into the South West region: Oxford; Buckinghamshire; Berkshire; Hampshire; Surrey; and West Sussex. These Local Authority areas reflect Home’s current development strategy, should development opportunities arise outside of these areas, homegroup will procure services from the most appropriate regional lot.
