Bedford Borough Council is seeking a provider to supply a range of short break services that are designed to assist individuals who provide care for children and young people with disabilities, to support them to be able to continue to do so, or to do so more effectively, by giving them breaks from caring. Community short breaks is an offer from Bedford Borough Council to all disabled children in Bedford Borough, which includes the following aims: - To offer more disabled children and young people access to a short break service; - To increase the range of short break activities; and - To help those families who need extra support. Community short breaks for children with physical or learning disability and/or other complex needs. Community short breaks for children with moderate or severe learning disability and/or autism and challenging behaviours. 1 to 1 outcomes based on enabling a service for children with all disabilities.
