The Borough Council of Sandwell is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced and competent providers of a lifestyle service (Behaviour Change Programme) and participants are advised that as the services sought pursuant to this notice are health services and therefore subject to the “light touch regime” as set out in regulations 74-77 of the public contracts regulations 2015 it is not subject to the full obligations of the procurement directive but are nonetheless subject to the general obligations of transparency, equal treatment and non-discrimination. The authority is following its own tender process akin to the restricted procedure. The aim of our service is to maintain a high quality, equitable and accessible initial assessment service (Phase 1) for adults and families who are not physically active at a level required by national clinical guidance and /or are overweight or obese according to standard guidelines and to enable them to access appropriately tailored intervention services (Phase 2) and then facilitate transfer and continued access to services (Phase 3) as part of a “maintenance community” approach within Sandwell Borough.
