Somerset County Council will be hosting a supplier event prior to the commencement of a procurement exercise to appoint a management operator to manage the operation and facilities management of phases 2 and 3 of the Somerset Energy Innovation Centre campus development on the Woodlands Court Business Park, Bristol Road, Bridgwater. Phases 2 and 3 will build on the success of phase 1 which has been operational since February 2016. The Somerset Energy Innovation Centre development supports businesses in or wanting to move into the low carbon energy sector, including nuclear, supply chains to ensure long-term economic benefit to Somerset and the South West from the development of Hinkley Point C and other low carbon initiatives. Phase 2 includes an area branded the Enterprise Hub @ SEIC which will support any business sector (excluding nuclear) where the business has high value growth potential. The intended procurement exercise will be appoint a supplier or suppliers in the capacity of management operator for the Somerset Energy Innovation Centre Buildings 2 & 3 (including The Enterprise Hub @ SEIC. The management operator will be responsible for the provision of: — Facilities management. — Business support services for tenants and users. The Enterprise Hub @ SEIC is incorporated in Phase 2 of the Centre - this part has been funded by the ERDF 2014-2020 programme and HotSW LEP growth deal funding.
