Tender description

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council (the “Council”) is seeking to bring together an experienced and appropriately qualified Architect-led design team with outstanding design and detailing skills to take forward the New Pier Deck Pavilion in Southend-on-Sea. The pavilion deck is Grade II listed along with the rest of the full length of the Pier, from the junction with Western Esplanade to the pier head 1.34 miles out into the Thames Estuary. The pier springs from the Western Esplanade and runs out to sea above Adventure Island. It abuts the Clifftown conservation area to the north.
