Service for the Management, Co-Ordination and Provision of Event Medical, Ambulance and First-Aid Support for Events for The Tall Ships Race Sunderland 2018 and Sunderland Airshow 2018.

Tender description

The Sunderland City Council will be hosting two major events in 2018, where there is a requirement for the Management, Co-Ordination and Provision of Event Medical, Ambulance and First-Aid Support for both Events. • The Tall Ships Races Sunderland 2018 • Sunderland AirShow The purpose of the on-site Event medical, ambulance and First Aid support and management is to minimise the effects of the Event on the healthcare resources of the local population. By arranging high-quality Event medical facilities, there should be minimal impact on local NHS ambulance services, primary care and acute hospital provision. The Council is looking to appoint one suitably qualified and experienced Provider to co-ordinate all the event medical requirements, provide the Events' medical, ambulance and First Aid support resource and the management of the resource for and during the Events. One Provider must be able to provide the whole event contractual, management, co-ordination and resource provision from within its own capacity or with the use of subcontracting or consortia or other arrangements. As a minimum this must include the planning for recommending the appropriate provision of a) First Aid personnel b) Doctor Cover c) Paramedic Cover d) Ambulance Service cover
