Tenders are invited for this exciting opportunity to occupy land at The Front, Seaton Carew for the summer seasons in 2018-2020 (Approximately 1st April – 30th September each year) to operate amusements, catering vehicles and stalls. We are also offering the chance to run donkey/ pony rides on the beach (exact site size and location of pitch to be agreed by the parties subject to on-site restrictions). Popular in many sea-side towns, this attraction forms a quintessential part of the entertainment package at Seaton Carew. The areas available are as follows: 1 Land Rear of the Bus Station (2.58 Acres approx) Funfair rides, amusements & catering vehicles 2 Donkey/ Pony Rides on the Beach (Area to Be Agreed) Tenders are invited for a licence to operate 1st April - 30th September in 2018, 2019 & 2020. This could be for the whole site or a small part of it. Operating hours are restricted to 10:00 – 20:00, Monday – Sunday. The licensee will be responsible for all costs relating to the operation of their site including (but not restricted to) rates, utility charges, security, grass cutting and reinstatement, waste collection, paving repairs, animal healthcare & well-being, portable toilets, storage facilities and equipment. Tenders should include: 1. Amount to be paid to the Council each year 2. Area of how much land is requested 3. Proposed opening days/ times 4. Numbers/ types of facilities on offer from the site 5. Site layout and management plans 6. Security and storage arrangements 7. Proposed movements on and off site 8. Conditions of agreement/ any other details A deposit of £500 is required prior to commencement of the licence. This deposit is refundable at the end of the licence period providing that the land is reinstated by the licensee to a similar condition than it was at the start of the agreement, which will be documented by way of a photographic schedule of condition. All footpaths must be kept clear of any obstruction for the duration of the licence. Please Note, additional permissions, such as Food Registration and Street Trading Licences, may be required as well as the licence to occupy the land, the cost of which is to be borne by the winning tenderer/ Licensee. Tenderers should make their own enquiries as to what they will need to facilitate their proposals.
