Combining the need to accelerate home-building with the principles laid out in the Five Year Forward View, the Healthy New Towns programme explores how new development can achieve better health outcomes. One of the main legacies of the Healthy New Towns programme will be a guidance publication. The purpose of the guidance is to enable future housing developments to create the conditions and systems for better health outcomes in the most effective way. The Built Environment Support Partner has a coordinating role, leading on the overall approach to the process and content of the guidance in order to achieve the desired outcomes and is also responsible for the final presentation of the guidance, including illustrations, graphics and copyrighting.
