Gateshead Council is looking to form a joint venture with a licenced gas and electricity supplier to deliver the following: • Creation, marketing and fulfilment of a Gateshead energy (gas and electricity) tariff • Supporting other energy schemes, for instance by creating bespoke electricity tariffs for customers supplied by Council generating assets • Developing and investing in other energy related schemes This is not a public procurement exercise. The Council is seeking a commercial partnership opportunity and is using the procurement portal as a means of gathering the information required to appoint the most suitable partner.
