A concession opportunity to provide a Cycle Hire Scheme for the City of Edinburgh for an initial 3 years, to include Universities and Edinburgh College and their campuses, that offers a compelling choice for thoseliving, working, studying, and visiting Edinburgh, to make journeys around the city. — Planning and executing the construction and activation of the cycle hire facilities, — Developing and executing a marketing strategy alongside sponsorship or commercial relationships. Establishing the commercial offer to users, — Enabling strong patronage growth for the Cycle Hire Scheme through effective management and maintenance of the facilities and growing the scheme to wider geographic area and greater numbers of cycles. The Cycle Hire Scheme must be run at NIL cost. Tender pack is available via https://www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk/ Or to request the tender pack please email: Tenders@TransportforEdinburgh.com a) Supply and operate a scalable public access Cycle Hire Scheme, based at specified, publicly owned locations across the city, along with private university campus locations; b) The Concession will be for an initial period of 3 years, with an option to extend the term of the for additional periods at the sole discretion of TfE for up 4 further years in increments to be decided by TfE. c) The Cycle Hire Scheme must be run at NIL cost to TfE; d) The Operator shall be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Cycle Hire Scheme, including, without limitation, provision of cycles and necessary infrastructure, management, indemnity, insurance, and marketing; e) Provide a minimum of 500 manual and 100 electric bikes to be operational from June 2018.
