Provision of Security Services for Portsmouth International Port

Tender description

Portsmouth City Council is inviting tenders under Lot 4 of the Security Services Framework as previously advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union on the ( February 2016, notice number OJ S:2016/S 027-042984.\n \n At the point of publication no expressions of interest were sought against Lot 4 - Security at Portsmouth International Port as there was an existing contract in place for this requirement.\n \n Inclusion of this requirement into the Security Services Framework contract enabled the Authority to reopen the framework and seek expressions of interest. The successful supplier will be required to abide with both the framework terms and also the call-off terms bespoke to this contract.\n \n The successful contractor will provide manned guarding, passenger and vehicle search teams, access control and other duties as required, 365 days per annum for both Portsmouth Cruise and Ferry Port and MMD (Shipping Services) Ltd.\n \n The initial Contract will be for a period of three years with the possibility of extending the term by a further two years to a maximum total term of five years in increments to be agreed, subject to the agreement and performance of both parties.
