Tender description

The purpose of the programme evaluation is to provide a baseline, interim and long term view on whether we are progressing as planned towards achieving our goal of people in Bristol affected by cancer being able to say: "I am supported to live well with, and beyond cancer". We would like to know if and how the various projects can add up to be greater than the sum of their parts and how we can sustainably commission these services in the future. The evaluation will be coordinated by the project manager, Emma Ryan who is based at the Clinical Commissioning Group. We would like to commission a person or organisation to work with us to undertake the more specialised components of the evaluation of the LWWBC project in Bristol; see the aims and objectives of the evaluation. The evaluation is primarily for Bristol CCG, Bristol NHS (including primary and secondary care), Bristol City Council, the community sector, people affected by a cancer diagnosis in Bristol and Macmillan Cancer Support. Additionally the evaluation will be shared with Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Strategic Transformation Plan (STP). The evaluation will start early 2017 and we will need a final report in mid-2018. The Bristol programme is also informing Living Well With and Beyond Cancer work across the South West. The Cancer Alliance responsible for our area (Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire Cancer Alliance) is currently submitting a bid to NHS England for the Cancer Transformation Fund, which includes resources to evaluate cancer support services across the South West. If successful, Bristol's evaluation will need to feed into and inform that work. Further detail within the additional information
