The wall is aligned from east to west and supports Manchester Road A57 carriageway as well as a pedestrian footway. The lower side of the wall is a private field. The wall has a retained height that varies, with a maximum of ~2.0m and a total length of approximately 110m. The approximate width of the footway is 2.4m.
