Tender description

The University of Cambridge, Department of Physics provides modern laboratory accommodation and state of art research facilities. The user is performing ultra-cold atom experiments and is building a new apparatus for cooling and trapping Erbium atoms. The department requires single longitudinal mode laser light at 2 different wavelengths namely 401 and 370 nm. These will subsequently be referred to Lot 1 (the 401 nm) and Lot 2 (the 370 nm). The detailed specifications for each of these is described in section 3. Lot 1: The 401 nm laser light will be used for laser cooling of Erbium atoms. Lot 2: The 370 nm laser light will be used for laser trapping of Erbium atoms. We invite tenders for both Lot 1 and Lot 2 separately and additionally for a combined system that simultaneously can produce both wavelengths.
