Health Trainer Services

Tender description

The East Riding of Yorkshire Health Trainer Service will work with people who have little or no contact with health services to support them to set personal goals for improving their health, agree action-plans, and provide practical support and information. The service will also help them to assess their health, lifestyle and wellbeing with a view to enabling behaviour change. This may include, but not be limited to promoting the benefits of: • taking regular exercise; • eating healthily; • reducing alcohol intake; • practising safe sex; • stopping smoking. The contract is for two core years with the option to extend for up to two further years at the sole discretion of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
