Tender description

The London Borough of Waltham Forest is seeking to appoint organisations who will provide Independent Visitors and Advocates for Looked After Children and Young People. This will be satisfied with the creation of a contract over 2 lots: Independent Visitors (lot 1) and Advocacy (lot 2). Advocacy is to cover Child Protection; LAC and Disabled Children's Advocacy. Providers can enter bids for any or both lots. For more information please visit www.londontenders.org To provide high quality, trackable and well communicated Independent Visitor services to Looked after Children (LAC), Children in Need (CIN) and other vulnerable young people in the 5-25 age group. The IV service will support the delivery of improved outcomes around emotional support, feeling listened to and developing social networks. It will help this cohort to have their voice heard whilst providing value for money. To provide high quality, trackable and well communicated Advocacy services to Looked after Children (LAC), Children in Need (CIN) and other vulnerable young people in the 5-25 age group. Advocacy services will be focused on getting the best outcomes for the cohort and ensuring they can help shape their own futures by being actively involved in discussions. Generally, LAC and other vulnerable young people will be supported to remain in their placements by empowering them; facilitating their ability to build positive relationships and ensuring their rights are respected.
