Environmental Enforcement - Expression of Interest and Bidder Information Event

Background Bradford city centre has undergone significant regeneration in the last few years including the multi-award winning City Park and more recently the opening of the Broadway shopping centre - increasing annual footfall in the city centre to 32.5 million. The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (the “Council”) recognises the importance of the visual amenity to the city centre and is keen to maintain and improve this position. Consequently, the Council is proposing to enter into a procurement process to identify a supplier to undertake environmental enforcement (primarily litter) work predominantly in the city centre but with occasional coverage in other urban centres. Prior to this procurement, the Council wishes to undertake a market engagement process with all interested parties to better inform the subsequent procurement process and gauge potential bidder interest. Market Engagement The Council is looking to undertake this engagement in the following ways: • Via written feedback to this “expression of interest” from any potential bidder – please provide any submissions by Wednesday 15th February. • The Council is holding a “bidder information event” on Friday 17th February starting at 13.30pm at City Hall in Bradford (Committee Room 5) and lasting no more than two hours.
