Tender description

This tender is for a system funded under the EPSRC Tier 2 National HPC programme. The tender is divided into 5 lots, as described below: — 1 PF multi-socket SMP server cluster — 100 Gb/s low latency network. — 2 PF many-core cluster — 100 Gb/s low latency network. — Spinning disk Lustre 5 PB. — Hadoop / spark cluster. — Co-design of fast solid state HPC storage tiers. It should also be noted that the Cambridge Research Computing team will undertake the system integration and overall solution support of the system and most of the HPC software provision and support, which may include Openstack. The successful supplier will, in the main, provide hardware components and hardware support. System integration, system software and solution support is provided by Cambridge.
