Tender description

The Refrigerated Cargo Terminal (RCT) building is to be a high quality cargo warehouse to support the function of the new cargo terminal as part of the Dover Western Docks Revival project. The building will be constructed to a high quality to ensure the specific operating temperatures are achieved whilst ensuring performance in use with robust construction detailing and low maintenance in use over the life time of the building. Gross internal floor area 8 100 m² (GIFA) / 8317m2 gross external floor area (GEFA) excluding plant room/ forklift truck areas. This notice is published in order to formally engage with the market and determine suitable candidates who could successfully design and construct the new Refrigerated Cargo Terminal at the Port of Dover. Suitability will be assessed through the qualitative assessment of potential tenderers as set our within the Prequalification Documentation. Proposals presented must be submitted strictly in accordance with these instructions. Following this qualitative assessment, the 3 most suitable tenderers will be invited to submit bids for the works. It is currently envisaged that 3 tenderers will be selected for these works on a single stage lump sum bid basis however this strategy may be subject to change on conclusion of the Prequalification process.
