The Marine Development Team (MDT) is a new initiative of the Government to promote and support the development of Marine related business in Ireland. The Marine Development Team operates within the Irish Maritime Development Office of the Marine Institute. Tenders are invited for the supply of services for the design, development, maintenance and support for a new website “Marine Ireland” to communicate Ireland’s overall marine offering on a B2B basis both nationally and internationally. The information provided below is to enable prospective suppliers to understand the scope of the site and to be able to cost their services. 1. The name of the Website will be Marine Ireland and will use the domain marine-ireland.ie. 2. The website will allow interested parties to find out more about business opportunities in the Irish marine economy with an easy to navigate platform that links to a number of partner organisations’ websites and which displays contents from a directory of marine organisations. 3. The Design and deployment must support a multi-lingual approach (Irish) 4. The site layout / information architecture is not pre-defined and the successful tenderer will be expected to define the site design and structure. We will work closely with the supplier during the design of the site to ensure that these align with our requirements. Full details are available in the attached Invitation to Tender document.
