Tender description
CPU 2479 EV Workplace Project This tender opportunity is seeking services for 3 key work packages to enhance the Workplace Travel Service activities and encourage businesses and their staff to adopt low carbon transport solutions. The project directly links to the Go Ultra Low City programme target of supporting the uptake of an additional 8,000 Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEVs) by 2020. For the purpose of this tender, all Ultra Low Emission, Plug-in electric hybrids, 100 % Battery Electric and Range Extended Vehicles are referred to as ULEVs. For guidance as to which vehicles comply as ULEVs, please see the HM Treasury definition of less than 75g of carbon dioxide emitted per km travelled (which is the one adopted by the Council). Lot 1: Conduct Fleet Reviews within nominated businesses to understand if ULEVs will work in their fleets, and to identify the potential benefits of switching to ULEVs. Lot 2: Offer an interactive and comprehensive "Fleet Experience" vehicle loan scheme to businesses to trial, as part of their normal duty cycle, a range of ULEV cars, vans, with (potentially motorcycles/mopeds) and possibly heavier goods, or more specialised, vehicles as the technologies develop. Lot 3: Deliver an annual programme of engagement events alongside detailed information on ULEVs for both business travel and staff, with the opportunity to test drive vehicles, alongside promotional activities to raise awareness of ULEVs and other sustainable travel options within the workplace.
