Tender description

KCC invites you to provide quotes for the supply of timber, composite or other type of kit bridges, as detailed in the bill of quantities in the attached document. Bridges are to be designed in accordance with current British and European standards including in EN1995, BS5400, BS5589 and BD90-05 (as applicable). The minimum internal width between posts for footbridges is 900mm, with a live load intensity of 3.5Kn/m². Bridleway bridges shall have a minimum width of 2.5m with a live load intensity of 5.0 Kn/m². You should provide a full and detailed specification including drawings with your tender, for example for timber bridges, details relating to manufacture, grade, certification, treatment etc. All bridges purchased will be expected to have a minimum guarantee of a 10 year lifespan in place. All quotes will need to be provided using the Kent Business Portal by 12:00pm on December 19th 2017. All correspondence will also need to come through the portal.
