Tender description
The Council is seeking to modernize its LD day and work services. Following an extensive service review and early market engagement the Council now seeks an innovative and progressive partner to deliver and transform those services. The Council currently provides day services/work opportunities for more than 150 adults. The service delivers high-quality respite care using 3 integrated models: a day center for people with multiple & complex needs; 6 SMEs offering supported work opportunities & skills development; and a supported job placement & coaching service in local businesses. The service supports people to develop their potential and promotes independence, choice, and control in keeping with the aspirations of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014. The service provides meaningful activities for people with complex support needs, with opportunities for people to access training and development, build social and vocational skills, and increase independence. The Council invites providers with experience in the delivery of high-quality learning disability support services to tender for the provision of services to the Council. The chosen provider will demonstrate a clear vision for the transformation of the services with a focus on outcomes for individuals using person-centered plans and progression models. The chosen provider will share the Council's vision to maintain social care values and increase integration & interaction between services and local communities. This is an exciting opportunity for the chosen provider to take ownership and transform a well-established, valued Council service. The chosen provider will continue to deliver high-quality support and development, offer value for money/costs savings, and deliver outcomes that meet the needs of local people. This procurement is following a light touch regime process further to Articles 74-76 of the Public Sector Directive which is set out in detail in the procurement documents.
