SAP Archiving Solution

SAP is currently used to store all HR, Payroll and Finance data. Any historic data which must kept for legal, regulatory or operational reasons must be transitioned to an alternative solution in order to not be reliant on a fully operational and supplier supported SAP system when the existing contract ends at the end of 2017. SCC is looking for a provider that will "lift and shift" their existing instance of SAP, create an archive solution and subsequently host it off SCC premises. Consideration also needs to be given to how potential solutions will be able to ensure retention of SAP data and OpenText integrations, and the subsequent retrieval of this data by the end user. In terms of high level functionality any solution must allow for SCC users to be able to retrieve and report on data themselves in a timely manner through the current recognised SAP interface. Furthermore, data that has been lifted and shifted into the archive solution must be read-only. No archiving activity has taken place to date and as a result the current SAP system contains all HR, Payroll and financial data stored over the past 13 years.
