Patient Specialist Transport

Tender description

This framework is to provide non-emergency ad hoc and specialist transport for patients requiring transport to or from a Health Board facility, other hospitals, health centres, nursing homes, hospices, satellite units and any other location as determined by the Health Board. Transport may also be provided to and from the patient’s home address to hospital facilities where appropriate. These journeys will include, but are not limited to, assessment, treatment and follow up appointments for patient services and appropriate vehicles will be required based on the type of appointment. The framework is for a period of 4 months commencing January 2018 with a possible 11 month extension. Transport will be provided for patients who are eligible for transport in accordance with WHC 2007(05) or those that ABUHB authorise.
