Tender description
The HSE, on behalf of Saolta University Healthcare Group at University Hospital Galway (UHG), intends to purchase a Da Vinci Robotic Surgical system from Intuitive Surgical. This surgical system will be used to undertake minimally invasive surgery at UHG initially in the specialty of Urology. Members of the Urology team are licensed proctors for the Da Vinci system. It is intended to extend the service to Colorectal, Upper GI and Gynaecology surgery in the short to medium term.
