Tender description

This is an Open Invitation to Tender to any qualified providers for the following outsourced services: • Liaise with external parties to arrange sample collection and delivery to the laboratory • Sample velvet crabs (4 x 150 crabs) for histology, TEM and molecular testing (DNA / RNA) carry out PCR & Sequence analysis of parasites detected by histology • Perform additional confirmatory testing for other pathologies including additional histology stains, PCR. • Additional analysis as informed by histological and TEM analysis The work may be undertaken at the Marine Institute laboratories or elsewhere over a fixed period of 200 days starting from June 2017 up to May 2018. Histological samples generated on foot of samples collected will be read by a pathologist within the Crustacean NRL and the contractor will be required to regularly liaise with the pathologist.
