Tender description

Proposals are sought by the Science & Technology Facilities Research Council for the design, manufacture and assembly of 1,001 Fibre Positioning Units (FPUs), a sub system of the MOONS Rotating Front End. MOONS (Multi-Object Optical and Near-infrared Spectrograph for the VLT) is a new concept for an astronomical spectrograph. The MOONS has Spectrograph been selected by the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in response to a call for proposals for the study of new instruments. The final date for the submission of bids is 06/06/2017. All tender information MUST be submitted through the CCS eSourcing Portal The estimated contract commencement date is July 2017.
