Tender description

SEAI has functional responsibility for the market surveillance of the EU Ecodesign Directive, the EU Energy Labelling Directive and the EU Tyre Labelling Regulations. It was appointed to this function by the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment during 2016. SEAI was seeking to appoint a single service provider to undertake the work an overview of which is set out below: 1. Compliance monitoring of products covered by the EU Energy Labelling Directive; 2. Compliance monitoring of products covered by the EU Tyre Labelling Regulations; 3. Compliance monitoring and verification of products covered by the Ecodesign Directive; 4. Monitoring of compliance of online retailers operations and retailers’ advertising Improving service delivery; 5. Reporting. Estimated value of contract for the duration (1 year term and 2 12-month extensions) was EUR 435 000 (ex. VAT).
